At Mainland Vintage, we've spent years making handcrafted soaps and body products for customers celebrating the moments that matter. Weddings. Baby showers. Anniversaries. Milestone birthdays. Family reunions. Each one comes with a story the couple or person wants to tell. And our job is to figure out how to make that story real in soap.

When you order from our standard collection, you're choosing from products we've already created. That's fantastic if something speaks to you exactly as is. But a custom order is different. It's a conversation between you and us about what would make this celebration feel more like you.

You might want to match colors from your wedding palette or a scent that reminds you of the place you got engaged. Maybe your initials get stamped onto each bar with a custom stamp, or embedded into the soap with a custom mold. Commission a soap mold that looks just like your dog, something only your guests will understand. Whatever the story, we figure out how to make it real.

We work with you to create something that feels genuinely connected to your moment, not something that could've been made for anyone.

How Custom Orders Actually Work

The process is straightforward, which matters. You don't need a huge budget or lengthy timeline to start.

First, you tell us what you're celebrating and what you're imagining for the custom product. Are you thinking about colors? A specific scent? Something related to your event's theme?

We ask questions because the details are what make it special.

From there, we talk. You might send us inspiration images like your invitation or photos from the venue. And all custom orders include a custom label designed with your colors and style. We might suggest a soap mold that will make your soap really personal, or we'll blend four different floral fragrances until we land on exactly the right combination.

We collaborate until you feel like we understand your vision.

Once you approve the design, we handcraft your order in our Brooklyn studio. We're talking small-batch production here, not a factory run. Your custom creation gets made with the same care we put into all our products. And then it arrives, ready for your event.

Who We've Made Custom Orders For

We've designed custom soaps for weddings where the couple wanted each guest at the hotel to take home a gift they could use. We've created custom collections by selecting soaps from our standard line and packaging them in individual organza gift bags with a custom label that told the story of the couple. We've created baby shower favors with a blue rocking horse design that matched the invitation theme perfectly.

The minimums are low and flexible, usually starting around 16 units. That means you can create custom products for an intimate dinner party or a small wedding without needing to order hundreds. If you're planning a larger event and want to commission a custom mold, we can do that too. Everything gets included in the quote.

The Details That Matter

Every custom order starts with a consultation. We talk through your colors, your scent preferences, any special details or embeds you're imagining. If you're commissioning a custom mold or stamp, we'll discuss that timeline and cost separately and include it in your full quote.

Everything is transparent from the start.

Most custom orders take 2–5 weeks depending on order size and complexity. We confirm the timing once we understand your full request so you know everything will arrive when you need it.

If you want to add organza gift bags or special packaging options, we can do that too.
